Bartolome Island - Galapagos Islands

Trail map of Bartolome Island.
bartolome location
The panoramic view from the summit is probably the most photographed landscape in the islands.  The trail passes different lava formations and pioneer vegetation on the way up to the summit.  It is a one-hour hike uphill with views of the surrounding islands that makes it all the more worthwhile. During World World II Pinacle Rock was used for target practice / thus giving it its "pinnacle" shape.
